Adventurous, raw, unpredictable and fun. Roadie is returning to Iceland this October for the 7th edition of the workshop.

Co-hosted by Mark Pacura and Cole Roberts, this portfolio building workshop adventure will have endless scenic, nature-filled photography settings in Souther Iceland over two days, so if you have an adventurous spirit and want to put that to the test, this workshop is for you.

The small workshop (8 people) allows for ample photography time, without the need for battling with your peers to get the shot!. So if building a strong network with a tight-knit group is as appealing as building a portfolio, we invite you to join us next October!

October 26th to 29th, 2020. Guests are to arrive on the afternoon of the 26th and the workshop is on the 27th and 28th. There are no plans for the 29th.

The workshop is hosted by Mark Pacura and Cole Roberts. Mark is the founder of Wooden Banana and his own wedding photography business. Cole is the co-founder of Way Up North, Kolla, and Nordica. Together Mark and Cole have co-hosted the Roadie Workshops in Iceland, and this will be their sixth workshop partnership.

This edition of Roadie will explore the Southern Region of Iceland extending between Vik and Selfoss. A specific itinerary will be shared with the guests once the workshop is full.

This is a photography-heavy workshop. There will be two couples photographed (one couple per day) with the sessions happening at sunrise and sunset. Just like the typical approach Mark and Cole normally take when photography couples, we will be hitting up as many spots as possible within a condensed time frame.

Outside the photography, one day will be brainstorming sessions focusing on each workshop guest. Led by Mark and Cole, the point of these two sessions is to consult you on your business as a group, and together come up with ideas and constructive feedback about your process. Along the way, Mark and Cole will give short business-focused presentations to get ideas flowing within the group.

Accommodations are not included and to be paid for by each guest. On October 26th and 27th, the group will stay together at the same place and guests pay for themselves at check-in (location to be confirmed). On the 28th, we will stay in Reykjavik where people can choose a spot that works for them.

Transportation is included from the 26th to the 28th. How this works is we will meet in Reykjavik city centre the afternoon of the 26th, and from there take the group in two vehicles until returning to Reykjavik city centre on the 28th. Guests are responsible for their travels to and from Iceland.

Food and beverages are not included.

COVID-19 in Iceland

Travel to Iceland is permitted without a quarantine, but everyone must be tested upon arrival. Passengers will be charged ISK 9 000 for a single test at pre-registration but ISK 11 000 if paid on arrival. This fee is not included in the workshop fee, and should you test positive for COVID-19, no refunds are available.

Passengers can expect to receive their test results within 24 hours, usually on the same day, or the following day for those arriving later than 5 PM. So it is prudent that you factor this into your travel plans and you may choose to come earlier than the workshop starting date.
